LOCATION
Costa Rica is located in Central America. To the north it borders with Nicaragua and to the south with Panamá. When you look our country at a map you will find it between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans.

GOVERNMENT
A democratic government runs the country.

LANGUAGE
The official language is Spanish. A big part of the population in the touristic areas, businesses and in the main cities speaks English.

CLIMATE
Tropical, average temperature around 27º C / 80º F.

San José is the capital.
Costa Rica is divided in 7 provinces.

CURRENCY
The Colon is the national currency. (¢) The exchange rate against the US dollar varies day by day. But the USD ($) is accepted in almost every place.
The Euro (€) can be changed in some National Banks and in a few hotels.
